The ONLY coating impervious to DOT-3 is Gun-Kote By KG industries. Nothing else is. DOT-5 is safe with almost all paints but is not Hygroscopic and is intended to be changed often. If it is not than moisture will settle out of it and you will rot out your system. Motul-5.1 or "Valvoline Synpower" is synthetic and should work fine with most good quality enamels such as POR-15.
