Hi Guys,
Do I need to strip off the factory paint to repaint my engine? How can I do the easiest clean up that will let the new paint stick? Thanks!

Hello, Rod, and WELCOME to KZR!
We're glad you're here!
Could consider soda blasting, which should remove the loose paint.
There's a good article here in KZR forum on making an inexpensive quick and easy diy soda blaster. An air compressor is required.
Good Fortune!
