"Hay OMR I am not sure if you like me, so you are trying to watch my back (since I am very proficient at putting my foot in my mouth) or you hate my guts and just like to pick on me."... Seriously, not at all... ;)

You did state something that was spot on in this... If you're going to accomplish yourself then do it correctly... No doubt about it, research, study, prep, time and patience is everything.

When you break it down in it's rawest form, whether painting, fabbing, engine building, carb tuning.... Step out side the boundaries in trying to rush it or do it half assed and it will turn to crap...

I'm totally with you on that one....;)

EDIT: as for being picked on... Do you realize how many times by Patton alone I have been photo chopped!

Do I mind, oh hell no for I find the humor in it all and laugh my ass off every time, whether in a loin cloth, on Erkle body, being spanked my plummen & Steve you name it... Funny stuff there....

So after ready all the info you guys have generously left me Im gonna try to find a radiator shop in my area, and if not i guess i will just go with a liner. I see where yall are coming from about the process putting on the liner being a crucial and careful step. Even though this is my first tank Im gunna trust myself because im pretty careful w/ paint related things( im a sculptor by trade. That being said i will be doing the process in two weeks and will get some pics up as soon as i am finished.Again thanks for all the helps folks!

Call up a bunch of the radiator shops and see if they do that. I am about 30mi SSW of down town Chicago and out of the three shops I called two fixed gas tanks also.
