Ask and Ye shall receive....

The same principle applies to tank, chrome & plastics regardless of which paint you choose  but I use Dupli-Color can paint due to it is designed as an automotive paint, end of story.

Prep is everything... then adhesion promoter... then paint & wet sanding in between cured coats... then 2 part clears... then wet sand for final and buff out with rubbing compound....

Without arai being like the Duplicolor-Miami Vice, pimpin' IS easy! I kind of miss it...

Like he said, prep and patience are your best friends. I have made Tremclad look good on an old sailboat with proper prep.

You can get a ready to spray lacquer from the auto parts store in quart cans, and get this its Dupli-color. Laquer will not hold up to gas but you can get a nice shine once its rubbed out. I think OMR uses a two part clear to combat the fuel from ruining it. For the newby it might help to get some to practice your spray techniques. Do you have the tools to tackle this? You will need a sander, a spray gun, compressor, etc. Most of all patience, patience, patience.
