That's bondo on the frame. Just a couple of nicks were filled in.

I took the parts to Jim's house and we have been sanding and painting.

We got it primed,sanded,painted black,and clear coated.

Tomorrow we sand, get the stencils and paint the flames on.

The paint is deep. Really deep.

I hope i have the finished pictures by Monday. Roy

The paint was on sale at wal-mart so i just bought a case. I figured i could use the steel balls as replacement bearings. :laugh:

Seriously Roy,
how many coats of paint did you shoot? What kind of paint did you use? How long do you have to let the paint dry before sanding? You are going to paint flames right? So there's no clear coat on the tank yet?

There is two coats of paint and four coats of clear.

I don't know nothing about paint so i went to the paint store and then called the guy who was going to paint it and handed the phone to the paint man.

We sanded the clear today.

Also got the stencils printed up. We will do the flames tomorrow.We mixed the paint for the flames.

It will probably be Monday before we are finished. Roy
