Roy, I bought a new main wiring harness off e-bay last year for one of my 77 KZ100A1's as my original was pretty bad.... I was leary about the quality of it (sight unseen) but was real happy with it when it arrived (quality piece) It was @ $80 US + shipping. So I'm pretty sure all the ones being reproduced are from the same company just different suppliers. Doug

Thanks for the heads up Doug. I'll have to get a friend over to help me pull the engineand check our what i got.

I have the Mark II engine on the bike and there have been some changes in the wiring. I can't remember what i had to do to wire in the newer regulator and i might go to a newer wiring loom. Roy

I wish i knew what bike this gas tank came off off. Under four coats of paint i think i found the stock color.

Seems a little dusty in here.

Roy,

Your tank looks like it came off a 78KZ100. I think 78 was the first year for the bolt on petcock and that sure looks like 78 KZ1000 (Luminus?)red on the bottom.

When I strip my cars, I would use the aircraft stripper. Sometimes it wouldn't take the basecoat off, so I would use some 80 grit on my DA. Then I would put a few coats of laquer primer.

I should have my parts primed today.

I have been feeling poorly and just have not done any work since Monday.

will you paint the underside of the tank too? I have been debating what to do there on my bike.

My blood pressure has been high for the last week or so and i have not been working on the bike.

Warmed up today and i went to the shop and sanded and sanded and sanded.

I had to repair a couple of spots on the tank and a place on the duck tail.

I hope to get it primered tomorrow.

I also done a little work on the frame to get it ready for paint.
