that edge is just more area to show off your awesome paint skills. But i would not bondo it maybe sand it some to take some of the wave out.

Yeah I am not going to bondo it, it was just a thought. The solder sounds interesting, but I know I would mess it up, so I am not going to bother. If it aint broke don't fix it; I don't mind the seam that much now that I think about it.
