Damn I just went out to the garage to see if I still had my brace from a fender but I believe that I may have thrown it away.

It's not so much the look as the safety and handling. Fenders usually have a built in fork brace that keeps the forks from twisting and noodling out. In this case if you want the brace to disappear just paint it black. Take a good look at your forks and where they are braced. Without a fender or brace 75% of your forks are out there and nothing ties your lower fork legs together except your axle. Your fender or fork brace does an important job. It makes your lower legs stiffer by stabilizing the tops of those legs. Even stock front ends with fenders benefit from fork braces. Some are nice billet jobs that takes a weeks pay from your pocket but adds big bling as well as good stability. This solution at least brings it back to stock stiffness. It's your bike and your arse that sits on it so it's your decision. GLUCK!
