Keep us posted on how the paint 'weathers' and watch that excess gas when you fill up...and maybe put a new gasket on the gas cap :)

Well it is garaged and only ridden in nice weather so I doubt weathering will be a real issue. Gas will be the only possible issue.

I like the green!...and the fork boots!

I'm kinda partial to green. My house is green, my garage is green, my Jeep is green, my "other" motorcycle is green. The only place lacking of green is my wallet.

Looks to be a great fun bike! If I may make a suggestion. If you are not going to run a front fender at least get a brace. You will be surprised at how much it will increase your front end stability. GLuck!

I was trying to think of a nice looking way to make a brace out of the original fender bracketing. I would really like to find a good looking fender the one that was on it was all bent up.

I believe the KZ650SR had a front fender that bolted to a nice fork brace. Without the fender it makes a nice brace. Not overkill but basically a nice standard fork brace.
