I would start by replacing the little rubber gromets that hold on your side covers before you lose another one. you can buy them at z1enterprises
Great advice! eBay for used side covers and a tail piece...if you want new reproductions, then try:

i second that idea....i bought new ones and sidecovers actually kind of snap on now as opposed to kind of resting there as they did before....grommets are cheap...sidecovers aint...

The stock one on the other side stayed on fine. I will be wiring it one, and the new one when I get it.

Every one is telling me to replace my rubber grommets, that's not the issue. My pant leg might have caught the cover and it's gone. I need a replacement cover. Ebay didn't have a lot to offer. I was hoping someone might have one lying around.
Should I block off that area where the air box use to be? Is the to much air going through that area, say at 95 MPH?
