I just mixed something up and went to the Kawi dealer and checked against a new bike. I did notice the dirt and street bikes are different greens. The color I made is in between the two.

Kawasaki has two paints called "lime green".
The correct code for the ELR is 7F,the new lime green (from 2005) is 777.
I have two ELR,one with 7F and the other with 777.
The 7F is a little bit darker.

Just thought i would add to the mix.way back in the seventies i had my z1 done from the factory in green.later in years i wanted to have things freshened up and found that dupont has a color they call GO GREEN.don't know if this will help or not.but always go with the advice of seasoned painter,as wired george suggests.

Best thing would be to paint the bike in Firecracker Red which is far prettier and makes any bike previously painted green much faster.

I had a early 70's Dodge challenger T/A and it was lime green. There were two shades one light, one dark. Being a dodge man i used that color. Roy

I painted cars back in the 70's and I remember Mopar bringing out a color for their muscle cars that looked exactly like Kawi green. I remember back then it was called "gangreen" but I don't recall if that was the official name or just our nickname because it is the color an arm or leg gets right before it has to be amputated....:laugh:arai60 wrote:PPG actually has the Kawy green formula.
The PPG formula come comes from their commercial / fleet color charts, it is called Signal Green and was the offical factory Kawasaki color back in the late 1980's. It is just a solid green color.
