If you have a Z1A, I would bet the '74 yellow & white graphics would look great on black.

It's yours' Make yourself happy. Dark colors emphasise the size of engine. Deep reds/greens/blues are my favorites w/minimal striping. (it doesn't take much) Mine's Black w gold, as was easiest for my limited ability.G

Now that would look killer, very cool looking, it has that stock feel to it. What kind of pipe is that? I have a 4 into 1 vance and hines sidewinder im putting on mine for the rebuild.

Do you have a pic of your bike? I definatly agree that a dark color makes the motor look bigger and tougher. Im going to finish my engine off in the aluminum finish it was originaly.

If I keep my project hot rod. I am painting everything, diamond pearl white, the caddy color. I am adding some 1/250 size silver flakes, I bought from Paintworks last year too.
The body, both fenders, headlight bucket and gauges!
And mould over the factory emblems.
That's my paint job. That mid-coat pearl is $158 per quart!

I like it alot.

About to paint the..ahem...78 Zook GS1000 a Sherwin Williams "Omaha Orange" color.

It looks very similar.

The bike has the period Lester wheels on it. I'm going with RWL tires and will keep the chrome fender.

It's no resto job by any means. Just a makeover.
