6'5" here and I feel your pain - I think we need to start a tall kz rider support group know as "Bump-Sitters Anonymous." I prefer the look of the LTD seat as the oem flat style reminds me of the banana seat bicycles that my sisters rode in the early eighties. But sitting on the bump is sure a pain.:woohoo:

6'7" chiming in too on the tall guy thing....i bought a king and queen seat off e-bay cuase i had one back in the day and would use the dip as a roadrace seat...screw what it looked like..i was used to hanging off it in the corners...then i got my recent one and can't deal with it cuase i'm used to the flat seat and feel scrunched up against the tank,,and legs splayed out sideways...i was a skinny 6'7" back then .....so i think the flat seat works best anyone can sit anywhere on it...but to the cool crowd it is way plain...my buddies 2008 fz-1 is like all the current standards seats around that are leaned forward,,zzr 1200...zrx1200..you stop fast and you are "wearing" the passenger like a monkey screwing a football...

Get that image out of your mind right this minute, and never think of it again! :pinch: You know better than doing that in a technical forum! :angry:

Just keep saying over and over to your self:

Don't think about a monkey screwing a football;
Don't think about a monkey screwing a football;
Don't think about . . . . . .

And shame on you for daring to scan through Cheeta :laugh:

I wasn't able to speak to Juan this week - getting busy around here. I did get a message relayed and I don't think my assistant did the best job, so I thought I would post what I have...

Jaun Gonzan is the person to try and speak to since he did the seat.

His company is Classic Upholstry in Oxnard, CA tele 805.486.6982

He stated that a seat like I showed in the original posts on this thread would be $150-250 depending on complexity... this is where she didn't get it right. It was supposed to be for the exact seat he did for me. I will know more next week when I drop off another for him to do.

If anyone is interested, I would be more than happy to deal with him and have him use my seat as a template.

Got my second seat finished :)

I had the second one done the same, except... I moved the hump back 5 inches. Now it will be a bit more comfortable on the "solo" bike.

and... he charged $150 with me supplying the old seat. That price seemed fair and I'm real happy with the work. All the stitching lines are perfectly parallel, which is probably the hardest part of this seat job.

6' 5" 245....my first kz had the hump seat and i hated it...my kz1100 had a king and queen...the pits...didnt have the cash back then to change it out....current bike had stock seat although someone recovered it...if thats what you can call it...looked like someone was trying to smuggle pelts across the border..what a freakin mess...
i bought the flat repro that johnnys and a lot of others sell...fits my tall ass great...i love it.....i had an 01 ninja zx9r....GREAT motor and handled great, and although supposedly the best bike in its class for legroom at the time,still was lacking for the bigman.....all the new sportbikes keep getting smaller and smaller.......
