Gents,

Two part question:Instrument Pannel Cover - neutral, oil pressure, brake, high beam

1) What is this part called? it is removed by unscrewing the plastic round nut around the key hole?

2) Can someone help me locate one, either new or in great shape?

Mine is a disaster and I have looked everywhere for it.

Thanks

Rockin\' a KZ650B2 since 2007 and a KZ 1000E since 2008

Yes, the plastic nut holds it on. It's called many things but more commonly reffered to as a meter cover. They show up on ebay but mostly attached to spedo and tach. Still, buying a complete assembly would give you the cover and a spare set of gauges. If you come across some in ebay here are the ones that fit your bike..

www.americanclassix.com has them in stock. there may also be 2 screws in the back behind the headlight.

Your correct MadKaw500, but the two screws on the back only hold on the "back" cover. The "front" or "top" cover is held on only by the plastic nut around the ignition switch. :)

I could be wrong but I think he's talking about a 650 cover?
