Try a KZ1000 MKII or shaft drive tank. It has knee cutouts B)

I'm a builder, not a mechanic, but.... In carpentry, we have a saying, "If it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer."
If you pulled this off, would you have a Yamasaki?

I am doing a similar project. I am putting a XS tank on a CB350 I am building. I am also using the tail piece from the same bike and building a custom seat. If it will fit on a CB350 then it should have to proble fitting on a KZ650. All I have to do is relocate the tank mounting points.

Im Just bugging you because your tank is better than mine.
Jeez. I priced out a good Seca tank awhile back and came up with "I think theyre made of Gold" and forgot about it. Its Just a Comfortable 90MPH cruiser.
Just needs a tank & seat. maybe the boots taken off the carbs and siliconed on the outsides since I cant find any around here.(and i am cheap because my Kawasaki will get the real repairs)
