Front Hub Assembly was created by DPH900
Hi all,

I have taken my front hub assembly completely apart on my 76 KZ900 LTD. Cleaned it up, ordered a few needed new parts, and am ready to get it back together.

What parts do I need to grease, and how much? What about the ball bearings--should I add some grease there as well?

Thanks--Things are comming along real well.

Those bearings are so cheap.
Personally...I wouldn't bother repacking them, when You can just replace them for about $7 each.
Pretty much any auto-parts store will be able to match the numbers from the originals without a doubt.Very common bearings.
I got Mine at Lordco, and with My discount,I think it was even cheaper than $7.

yep, that is also an option that i would normally reccomend.just remember if you do buy new bearings and they arent sealed you need to pack them with grease before installing them in hub ;)

I understand, however, not sure what is meant by sealed. I can see the ball bearings, but I am not able to pop them out of the housing thier in now. Unlike the bearings that were in the neck of the frame, those fell out and ran all over the place.

So I am guessing they are sealed. is that right.

Thanks

I think so--Even though I cant take them out--I can still pack them with grease. Then I am safe to put all back together. Thanks

Not Stupid -- perceptive.

No, I haven't, I am so brand new on this its more than crazy. But I am committed to this project, I don't care what it cost me :S

Any rate, should I find someone to help with this one?

go to auto parts store and buy a bench mount bearing packer, lot easier than trying to teach you how to hand pack them over internet!:P goodluck, happy wrenching!
