TOPIC:

Most of my bikes (i have quite a few and may be buying an H# this weekend in Connecticut) have gaiters. Aside from the sporty look, they protect the forks.

Fugly is a strong word, in this case, better used to describe someone's behavior!

I'm with Steve on this one.  I had them on a KLR650 and found them to need constant cleaning.

I get raves wherever I go.  They look great and require minimal cleaning. I love them and have them on most of my bikes. My 900F:

 

They were on my CL 350 and I hated them. When I took them off the fork tubes were rusty as hell. 
That was in Santa Monica close to the ocean.

Yes I know Santa Monica/Venice Area. We inherited a 2nd home just off Rose Ave owned by my wife's uncle.

I grew up in Malibu until the fire took out my grandparent's home Shermer's Orchids across from Paradise Cove in 67.

I love to see photos like this. They have so much richness and character! thanks so much for sharing. I really enjoyed looking at these.

Myself,I like to see the fork tubes , see if seals are leaking, but to each his own.

I'm sure they have they're benefits, it's the look of the fork tube I like. To me it's cleaner looking. And I've had my share of leaking seals .
