anybody measure swing-arm bushing using rear axle end-play? was created by SpecialGreen
When I pull my rear wheel side-to-side, there is enough slop in the swing arm bushing for it to move about 26 thou (1.57mm) side-to-side (axle end-play). I wasn't sure if anybody measures the swing arm bushing this way.

EDIT: the bike is a '77 KZ400

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIt looks like '77 Kz400D4 has:
- sleeve 33034-028
- bushing 33033-009
I can pull them (hopefully Sunday) and measure the outer diameter of the sleeve with a micrometer. At $40 each, i won't replace unless they need it.
But I don't have a "cylinder gauge" to measure the inside of the brass bushing (is tthere a workaround way to measure?). I think I can probably assume that they need a refresh, though this bike has only 16k miles (but doubtful anybody ever lubed it).
I see a guy in Germany making plain brass ones (a pair for $24 shipped... if I can wait 3 weeks)
... he claims that they fit a whole bunch of Kawi's, so if there is a needle bearing replacement for any of these bikes, then it may fit:

There should be no slop in the rear end.
