Rear wheel out of alignment

This bike had an extended swing arm when I got it. First thing I did was go back to a stock arm... got a used on off Ebay. ... But now I'm having trouble getting the wheel lined up. If I get the adjusters even, the wheel almost rubs on the right arm. If I center the wheel, the adjusters are off by about 3/8ths of an inch (closer on right) but the chain binds. I am using the spacers that I took off the extended arm. So those are the facts, here's a pic. This pic was taken with the adjusters evened out. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

The bike is a 76 KZ900 by the way.

Looks like the swing arm is bent at the adjustment slot on the left. It's a tight fit with a large tire.

Could the spacers for the extended arm be different from the stock ones?

It looks like more that someone did a bad wheel truing job,(new spokes).
Your wheel rim is not correct centered to to wheel hub.

For the swingarm,you could measure either side back from the pivot nut/bolt to the axle nut/bolt. Heart to heart. to get an idea but eagle eyed Scirocco might be onto something there with the wheel. Those spokes do look a bit fishy.

Sorry I don't have much easy advice, but everything about the setup looks whacky.

I guess if it was my bike, I would start by finding someone with spare parts and ask him if he can measure the spacers to confirm yours are the correct ones. Then get someone to very precisely measure the dish on the rear wheel. Is there a chance it's not even the correct wheel? You'd want to find some way of confirming the wheel is for that bike. With the spoke debacle I might even start looking for a used wheel. I don't think I'd trust the existing one until it was relaced and trued properly with proper dish.
Then after that, I'd take the swingarm off and use a makeshift jug to make sure the arm offset was correct.

I only have 550 swingarms, and they have no offset. Some other bikes have offset, so you'd need someone to report that to you as well. Here are some photos showing how to measure the offset, (here the offset is zero).

This is a spacer that was left in a bucket in the rain. The Z1/KZ900's are the same.
