I would like to see how that works.

Here's a pic of a fork extension I had made {1 of 2 of course}, it just threads into the top of the fork, use a piece of PVC pipe the same length as an extension for the spring, to retain its correct length, and bolt it all back together, I've done this twice now and have another set of forks to do yet.... ;) I had the extensions hard chromed before using them..

I wouldn't have thought that world work with the twisting action between the clamps and fork tubes.

Would have thought it would open and close the threads a little every time you steer at high speed.

Like the idea though and it must be working for you.

That was close Leon.

I called them and they were super helpful.
They could have done both all new for under 400 bucks
But they only do up to 41mm tubes.
I have 43mm ZRX tubes.

Damn!

We were talking about putting a sleeve over the extensions between the triple clamps.

I've seen this done plenty of times, its a lot more common than you think, they don't move, never had one come loose. I'm about as anal retentive as it comes and wouldn't use anything I considered detrimental to the handling of the bike, I like to ride hard, suspension is the most important part of any bike. If you were really worried you could thread lock it anyway Locktite or even an epoxy glue on the thread}, I wouldn't bother, but for piece of mind, it works and is a cheapish fix.... I see you are using 43mm forks, with a brace they will virtually have no twist, I've used these extension on 43mm GSXR1100K forks twice now and are having a set made for some 45mm forks I have put aside for my Kawasaki....

Exciting option then.

Now would I have to have them made or can I buy these..do you know?
Yes these are 43mm's But there's a rebound and compression settings adjustment on the top of these ZRX forks.

I would think there's valving and stuff of a certain length on the caps that would now be too short if I add extensions.

Not sure just guessing that would be a concern to be addressed.

I had an engineering shop that works on race bikes make mine, I gave them my forks which had rebound and compression adjustment on top {damping at the bottom of each leg too}, I just asked them to make sure I retained the ability to adjust the suspension as stock, I never actually looked at the changes inside. They work though, I'll have to pull the set I still have with the extensions apart and have a look.... I'll take more notice when I get the 45's done, I live close to the shop now, when I had my last 2 sets done I lived 600 miles away from the guys doing the work...
