Ed, that's a Yamaha FJ.1100 or 1200.motor in that frame, not a Suzuki motor.

Stuffing in a larger engine may require that the engine be removed in order to check and/or adjust the valve clearances, as there may be insufficient room to remove the valve cover when the engine is installed.

Good Fortune! :)

No I live in Wisconsin so 15k could be 2 seasons of riding
I'm very good to my bikes
Ito me having a bad ass daily rider would be worth pulling the engine every winter to adjust valves

Im putting a 750 gsxr in a 77 650 frame with 03-04 636 suspension
front and rear. Still under construction, but Im sure this has been done before.
The build so far has been pretty ez.

How's it fit in the frame?
New liter bike engines are tiny so I'm guessing I'll have to ad flanges to the frame to mount it properly
Do you have a built thread I can view?

No Im sorry I dont have a thread because I suck badly on computers.
The Suzuki top and bottom rear motor mounts are a perfect fit to the
77 kz frame. All I did was slide the motor to line-up with the rear sprocket
which put motor off center of the frame by 1/8 and added new spacer
to the motor mount bolts. Install a new mount on bottom rail to fit suzukis motor. You wont need to notch the frame or an off
set frt sprocket. The exhaust ports will clear the front frame tubes.
The Suzuki headers have a tighter radius so the cut them just before
the bend and added 1 1/2 so the pipes would clear the frame.
The 636 swing arm and frt forks really adds a nice look to the bike.
Hope this helps in some way. If others have a comment please jump in I can use
the help.
GOOD LUCK
