My Calipers are laying eggs? What are these?

I've got one for you....

My ZRX and ONLY my ZRX caliper (seals) are repeatedly being eaten (I think?) by something when the bike is parked in it's shed (along with 5 other bikes that have never had the same issue).

Anyone know what this is? Are these the eggs ? They eat so much of the seals that they start leaking, I've replaced them all once already and now they are back! Those 6 pot Tokiko seals are VERY expensive and only available from Kawi for some reason !

Any Ideas?

Looks like corrosion being released out of pores in the aluminum casting. Did you use some sort of chemical to clean the caliper bodies? I'm not sure what to suggest other than cleaning the bodies in some sort of aluminum safe cleaner (not Simple Green or similar). A ultrasonic tank would be ideal.

Have you flushed and changed the brake fluid?
You say the seals are being eaten but the picture is of the outside of the caliper; what do the insides of the bores look like?

No, it's not oxidation...they "POP" if you squish them.....

Must be the ancient Hawaiian brake beetle.....

It's just so weird that it ONLY happens to the ZRX.

Pistons are fine.

Might be if you're parking the bike in the shed in the same spot, the organism associated with this lives nearby and likes the heat of the calipers for laying eggs. I haven't a clue what it is, I didn't study biology. Try brake cleaner to spray 'em off or are they stuck?

I can't find any animals that spray their eggs though.

I get that sometimes during a really damp winter. I think it's a chemical reaction between the pitted aluminum and brake fluid and moisture (like Ed said). It usually washes off. If the fluid is washed off and stays off, and/or if the thing stays dry, it usually won't come back.
