I would like to find out if I could use LTD or CSR model clutch/throttle and front brake cyl CABLES on my 98 KZ1000P for my new larger handlebars?

The KZP bars are already quite tall. If your new bars are much taller you may have to get longer cables.

I had taller bars thinking they would help my back. They didn't, they just made it worse.

Actually Nothing Apey, approx 3 to 4 inches.. With the current cables I would work but Ive had difficulty finding
actual official lengths and knew the KZ/LTD/CSR were all made certain years and the LTD/CSR were more cruzer style and the Kz had more crotchrocket style. I know the cable lengths of the LTD/CSR are adequate I uncertain of connectability to my 98 KZ. Were I live the only dealers/reps dont seem to be able to determine any of these . Any light on this ridiculous situation would muchly be recieved. Also Ive looked into having these made and ulike harleys etc where this is easy and rougly about a hundred bucks for instock cable extensions its 300+ and its a mail order deal.. Thanks for the reply and keep it upright!

Z1Enterprises lists the cable length & slack for many of their cables, so you could take a gander at the various listings to see whether or not something will work. Doing it yourself might save some time. If you call, they'll probably do the same thing, just look at the measurements they have listed.

PS: I would install the bars & figure out the needed length, then get the appropriate cables. oem cables are preferable, but Motion Pro & Barnet make custom cables.

A single strand of solid core electrical wire will make it easy to determine the appropriate length. You can route the wire the way you would route the cable: it will hold its shape and you can experiment with slack. Once you're done, pull the wire off and measure it. :-)
