'77 Kz1000 Swingarm swap questions.

So I have a 1977 Kz1000, (1.) I'm looking to 'modernize' the suspension but also keep the twin shock setup. I have a 96-99 katana swingarm, its originally a mono shock. I know I need to make mounts and spacers and few other things to make it work. Could you walk me through on what you would do? (2.) Would a Gsxr swingarm (the older ones, similar to the katana) be better/easier? They seem better built, and a little more appealing to the eye.

Either way, they katana swingarm only cost me about 30 bucks, so not much of a loss.

I should have done that but I have a habit of overbuilding. Here's my thread on the one I've been working on. The measurements are in there and I got plenty of help.
