305b frame swap to other kz

Have a 87 305b ltd complete bike with no title I want to title it but can't get a title all I have is bill of sales so do any other kz frames have the same motor mount brackets as the 305? The 440 looks the same I want to switch everything over to a different frame any ideas?

I'd guess you'd need to find a 305 frame or maybe a 250. i have no idea how similar an earlier 305 is to the 87. the fuel tank rear tabs are kinda different. Try poking around the diagrams at Partzilla. I took a gander at a couple of frames & the 440 looks to be completely different.

Are you sure it can't be titled?

The 440 frame is an entirely different animal to the 305. The early 305s 80-83 I believe are exactly similar. The only difference between 87 and early 80s 305s is that the early 80s had points. Martin may be on to something with the 250, as the 305 is basically a bored out 250 and the 250 is included in the sevice manual for the 305 with very minimal changes between them. Further Research would be necessary to confirm 100% though.

You can't apply for lost title or lien sale it?
