I just searched up kz650sr rear wheel on eBay and I think you hit the nail on the head that looks identical to the one I have. Thanks a ton I think this mystery is solved!

Ed and Martin are 650 guys so they might know. Was the SR a tube wheel without rim locks? Kaw Parts shows tubes.
I used google and ebay to come up with that, so if you want to be 100% sure, it would be best to find another source for confirmation. Best would be if someone had actual physical dimensions you could compare. There are quite a few wheels that look similar.

Correct. The KZ650-SR uses tubes but does not use rim locks. Ed

So it's a Kawasaki wheel with a tubeless tire on it but I think it's using a tube anyway because I can push on the valve stem and it feels like and looks like it's attached to a tube inside the hole that's bigger and the valve stem with no seal

So does anyone happen to have an old used rotor for the kz650sr that I could barrow/buy for fitting purposes? We're doing some modding with the swing arm and I need a rotor to put on so we can weld the caliper bracket into place. I'm going to buy a new rotor but I won't be buying them until later on in this project.

Weld in the caliper bracket? Why would you want to do that? Ed

By weld in I mean to weld in the mounting hardware so that I can put the caliper bracket on in the right spot.

For certain Ed is the man to confirm this with but maybe
[ This kz650 Rear Rotor ]
will work for mock-up purposes?
It seems to have the same bolt pattern and price-wise it's very affordable....
YMMV

Would a kz750 or 1000 rotor from the same years maybe match up with the holes? I can get a caliper to match
Like say a 77' 1000 rear rotor?

Actually just realized my front rotor will bolt up to the back wheel so that'll do and I'll just get same diameter for the back when I'm ready to buy new.

VERY BAD IDEA!!! The front and rear rotors are VERY different even though the bolt hole spacing and overall diameter may be the same. Look at the images below. Notice that the OFFSET is VERY different, and this will screw up the relationship between the rotor and the caliper. Also, the rotor thickness is different. The images below are of KZ650-C1 rotors, but I believe you will find similar offset problems with rotors from other models. Ed
