replacing flanged camshaft cover bolts?

Hi all. I'm going adjusting the valve clearance on m 1980 kz650 for the first time, and I'd like to replace the camshaft cover bolts, which are m6x45 flanged bolts, with socket head cap screws. Any problem with that? socket head cap screws aren't flanged, so I suppose I can add a washer in there.

I changed all mine with SS Allen's. No washers. I like the chrome cap bolts but they were getting rusty after 40 years.

I've got a full set of stainless allen head screws for the valve cover. They came in a kit I ordered from Z1 but I decided to just use the stock screws again. PM me if you are interested in getting your hands on them.

Is that a good or bad thing?
