No all of that is fine. You can use your stock bolt, but instead of bottoming into the backside of the fork, you have to rely on the nut and tension on the ears.

I tightened mine and am still getting use to it. The stand is tight and the bike is upright. I don't think a 2" longer one would work for me. How does it fit on yours?

Leans like my ZRX now. Works good. And it is only about an 1.5" to 1.75" longer.....

Is the bracket bent? I'll take a pic tomorrow when it"s light. Mine stands up, almost too much.

The stock bracket is 3/8" thick and the half round section fits the frame tube perfectly. I am not sure it could be bent.... Again, completely different suspension, wheels and ground clearance, do not apples to apples.
If yours sit practically straight up and down, how come you stated you too wanted a longer stand?

Mine was leaning too much. I tightened the bolt and welded the crack again. Now it's like it was when new. The new arm might raise the back end. I may be needing one like yours if it does.
