How is he going to get $500 down if it sells for a couple hundred? No reserve.

The more I think about it the more I wld love to have an old-school 750 Honda chopper in my stable of KZ's...just for chits-n-giggles and a fitting tribute to add to the '70's era theme. If a deal like that was anywhere close to me, I'd be on my way to go see it with a cpl hundred bucks in hand and the hopes of hauling it home for the parts. That one wld be a great starter for a bobbed out 750 chopper. Halfway decent looking motor, among all the other parts and it even comes with the typical sidewinder pipes. I think it wld be a blast to ride from time to time and bikes like that are head-turners wherever U go and great conversation pieces that people our ages LOVE to chat and reminisce about from the old days...................Mike

Millers Hondadavidson was a 750 bored out to 1015 (had to weld around the barrels so it wouldn't weep), cammed, ported, Del Orto adjustable venturie duel carbs, soft tail raked frame, gerter front end with a upside down shock, Harley Fat Bob tanks and all the rest of the chopper goodies. That bike would pull on me until I got my Andrews cams, then I pulled on him. He said, "you're learning."He loved to put it in the HD guys faces. He got away with it because he was the best wrench in the valley. Lost track of him in the 90's.

Save the kawasaki; kill the honda they say.

A couple years ago I bought a 77 kz1000 from a guy, he was trying to peddle off a couple extra parts to me, an extra kz frame and a cb750 parts setup, I said sure, and laughed the whole time I loaded up the forks frame and some morris mags from a 73 z1, and the front half of an early (1100 or so) sandcast cb750 that he used for parts to make his and his buddies choppers. Combined dude would have around 10grand if he just sold them outright.

As for the kz1000 being a bad ass kickstart motor, yes it is. The kick setup is pretty weak though, I've bent three kickers in two years. And there are better donors out there. If you were near me I would trade you a frame and engine for what you have

my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550
