How hard is it to mill out your own triple tree set? Does anyone out there have or know of a place to get CAD data for a kz650 triple tree or know dimensions for one.

I want to create a 8 degree tree and hope for some advice or some help to make this process as painless as possible.

I think Leon (531blackbanshee) can help you out if not possibly get your compass set. I had a CNC years ago but it was too big for the shop I was in so it was either the in ground dyno or the 12x12 cnc? :P Rather have a mandrel bender now a days though. Good luck with your project.

If you yourself are building an older bike and can see it through till you're riding it, that's proof you have patience.

Contact Scott Stites at Pulse Performance Parts in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a biker and does fantastic one off work. He is building triples for the ZRX guys.

like cory said www.pulseperformanceparts.com/ does very nice work.
i haven't seen anyone that would have all the data co-ordinates for kz650's .
i do all manual machining and it takes alot of handwheel spinning to whack out a set of triples.
if you are really good with the band saw you can save some milling time  .

To date I've treated 650's just like 1000's but why 8 deg raked trees? Find you a rake and trail calculator and punch in some numbers,

Les you've read my mind...... I would caution an 8 degree change to the rake of the triples without first fully understanding the bike geometry as a whole (rise height, fork length, offset, etc...) as you could be potentially making an unstable (unsafe) bike. Maybe you have thought all this through, and if so "Bravo!" Just thought I would mention it.
