I've been known to push it too.

I never buy used and wear them out before weather checking can occur.

New tire and I cleaned up my old brake arm. It still had blood on it from the wreck. It's stamped 46 and I didn't use it because it meant I was down there while it was happening. I still don't remember it, only putting it sideways and kicking off. I hope I never do. I put it back on because the chrome is in much better shape. You can see where a piece is missing on the casting.

That's an impressive set of worn out tires!! I agree I would never buy a used bike tire - too much at stake where tires are concerned to take any risks that are avoidable. I too change mine before they can have age related problems, but I'm rather embarrassed by some of my take offs of recent times, with 5 road legal bikes and not much time to ride in the last few years, too many of them look too close to new :(. 2016 is the year I plan to do something about that as we should be empty nesters in a few months and I will have some other crap out of the way too which has been holding me back. I also intend to ride my bikes as much as I can for work this year too. Much of my running around doesn't need a car or truck as often I'm just carrying a few papers.

There's still one rear tire at my daughter's place. Adding that, the one I got rid of up there the year before and the ones I took off at my son's three years ago, I'm loosing count. The ones at my son's were sitting for 15 years and had to go. Too bad he turned out to be such a SHT. I could use his help and he could have had a nice 84 KZ550 LTD shaft. :(

Being an empty nester isn't what it's chalked up to be. My daughter still needs me and I have grandchildren to think of. :) It's all good. I can ride up there to see them any time I want.
I rode Bossie to work as much as I could until it needed real money to keep up. Two children, single parent, no money for a bike.
I can tell when I talk about what I'm doing to the bike or what I want for it, the look in her eyes says, why are you spending so much on it? She won't say it, she knows I spent $5000 on a car for her and the kids. I told her back then, it's my turn. B)

Got my new tire mounted. Went back to the 130. Having a 110 up front the 120 was too small. Still have to do the math on how many miles I got on it. I bought it in January so 6 months is about right. My new speedo screwed up so I have some homework to do on the figures.
