I thought about this too. Seems better then the whack-a-mole method. I wonder why its not the preferred method?
Thanks for all the tips. I was worried because getting the old ones out was a royal pain in the ass. Had to hammer away like crazy.
I froze the new bearings, added a little grease around the outside and they went in with no trouble.
