is this tire ruined?
20 May 2015 07:52
I bought some Pirelli Sport Demons for my 440 LTD, and I thought I'd try to put them on myself. First time. Watched a bunch of youtube vids and gave it a go. The rear tire went on fine. With the front tire, not only did I manage to pinch the tube, but I also put a small gouge in the side of the bead. If you pull back the rubber, you can see the plies. If this were your tire, would you run it? Or is it a $100 lesson?

How old is that tire? Looks like cracking too. If not you could use it as long as you have a tube and nothing else is wrong with it.

That nick may cause a slow leak if you are installing the tire tubeless. If using a tube I don't think you will have any issues.
