Bought a usd set of forks, now what was created by floivanus
I may have accidentally bought a set of USD zx9 forks off eBay (too good to pass up, $80 shipped without calipers, but i degress) what dies it take to adapt to the 73-80 900/1000 frames (just a step swap?) and IF I do run these I'm staying with spokes front and rear. Make a stepped axle? What is there around for a 1" spoke hub?

Leon made me a stepped axle for my ZRX forks with KZ wheel. He machined down the KZ axle nuts and then welded the ZRX axle nuts on there. Works great.

Yeah, I used the stock zx6 rear axle as a bushing on the rear and used a triumph axle the same diameter as the kz rear axle, welded them together.

Figures it would be the same if you were doing the front too.

Stole the stem off a twisted lower kz1000 tree, cut the zx9 stem off and pressed it together, just have to weld two stems together and hack away on the top tree.

What year(s) calipers bolt up to these forks (94-97 zx9)
