I would never knowingly buy anything from CHINA that my life would depend on. The cam I bought is Fing up now but it was only $27 delivered. The chain on the other hand could have and was in the process of breaking in the middle of the Mojave last summer. That guy is still selling his (high quality) chains on eBay. No way to contact him, eBay will do nothing and he doesn't say where they're made. Ebay has lost all credibility with me.

+1 The vast majority of stuff I have seen imported from China is junk. Usually it's made to imitate the appearance of a quality product made elsewhere in the world, but that's where the similarity ends. Ed

Just a aside, scrap steel is going for $20 a ton as opposed to $150 last year. I guess CHINA has enough bullets to throw our way now.

Further aside, the domestic steel industry is once again reeling due to folks thinking china is great, chinese steel welds line shit, stress cracks easily, has crap for yield strength and maleability. Which in the end buying chinese crap will plain screw all our middle class people over. Potentially affecting millions of families

But the man was looking at expensive chinese parts, told him where the cheaper stuff is.

It's everywhere. Choppers falling out of the air, one guy I know bought braided fuel lines and fittings, painted the fittings with anodized and is now in prison. Good for him.

One more thing about Hagon shocks. I bought a set for my KH400. The distributor asked for my weight etc. then determined the spring rate, which is in Kilograms. The rate was way too stiff. I weigh about 180 lbs and the shock rate was 16 kg.

They exchange springs at no charge. I received a set of 14 kg springs and they are just right. Then I mailed the 16 kg springs back to them and we were done. If you don't have a shock spring compressor then you might need to mail the shocks back to them and wait.

Bottom line is, they tend to recommend springs on the heavier side. Try to get the right springs the first time.

There was a guy on ebay uk selling those chinky reservoir shocks, but suddenly stopped. They look cool but I have my doubts as to their build quality.

These Hagon Nitro remotes are nice:

I looked up the shocks for a 1990 kz1000p because those shocks are still available and they are $458.91 each or $917.82 a set. Do you really want to put shocks on you motorcycle that cost less then 25% of the oem parts? Good shocks are cheep even at $917.82. skin grafts are expensive.

If one were to order some Hagons, what spring and damping rates are best for 750E or 650, assuming your typical 200 lbs. rider?

I weigh a shade over 200 lbs, and sometimes my wife rides along too. She's maybe 115 lb. The shocks work well for me or when we are both on the bike.

In the link below, my shocks are shown in the photos near the bottom of the page. They're marked "#4 CLASSIC I - CHROME WIDELINE SPRING STAINLESS TOP SHROUD." I don't remember the specs, but I do have the original receipt and box. The shock details from the receipt are shown in the 1st image below, and the info on the box in the 2nd image. Prices are from 2007 when I bought them. Ed
