Davido, what kind of shop did you have do yours, and if you id it yourself, how did you get the tight bends?


"Mandrel Bending" is where a mandrel (another tube) is put inside the tube you want to bend and then pushed around a die for the appropriate bend. This is necessary with large diameter tube that has a relatively thin wall thickness to keep it from kinking. Its something most fabrication shops will not be doing themselves.

If you just tell them you need some tube bent, or say you need some tube bent on a specific die radius, eg. 1" tube on a 6" radius they will know what you want. This is not mandrel bending, hence the confusion.
