Does anyone know of a larger tank that will fit a KZP?
I would like a 6.5 to 7 gallon tank.
I 'd even entertain the thought of having one made.

If you want to make your own tank, I would recommend you watch the 'Hackaweek' Sabre build videos on youtube.
A binge session is a great way to waste a sunday afternoon and its very informative.Though it aint a Kwak.
Good luck

I've always wanted a larger tank or maybe a spare under the seat. Even thought of a HD 5 Gal. tank. Miller had one. He love to point it out to the HD guys.

The first generation Concours used a 7.5 gallon tank. I have no idea how hard it would be to adapt to a KZP, but there should be plenty of rusty beaters around. Perhaps you could pick one up cheap or free just for mockup .

My friends who ride in iron butt events add a plastic boat motor fuel tank . They use a small electric fuel pump to transfer the fuel. You could mount it in a saddlebag or on a rear rack. Summit sells a 5gal tank that I've seen mounted on the passenger seat of a Goldwing.

Why would you need a bigger tank? Good grief guys, I'm usually ready for a break when the stock stank needs a fill up.

I'm looking to tour on my cop bike, and it'd be nice to have a greater range. I'd still want to stop and stretch my legs every 100 miles, but it'd be nice if I didn't have to fill up every time.

Yes, I need breaks at that rate as well, but some of the best roads have few gas stops in Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. I like to have 150 miles from a full tank. Four gallons is cutting it a bit close. So I simply put a spare gallon in the saddle bag. I have needed it twice. Once in sight of a gas station. That spare gallon also keeps me from fretting about gas while I'm enjoying my ride.

I could have used it last year. Bought gas at Kramer Junction at Arco, rode through the Mojave to Bakersfield, stopped for gas and found Arco drained my card $89 for $8 in gas. That's all I had until I got to my friends place where I sold a VW van for him. It's happening everywhere. 76, Arco, Chevron, the other day Velero. They say it's because they anticipate you to fill up a auto tank but what's really happening is, they put it in a interest bearing account, keep your money for 3 to 5 days, then return the balance. Yes I used my PIN. They do this to thousands of people every day. Legal larsony. The card issuer warns about using terminals. Now I have to gesstamate how much I need or go back in for change. PITA

The group I ride with usually stops around 180 miles.
I would be happy to get 160 to 170 miles between fill-ups.

I went as far as contacting a shop that makes custom tanks and bikes. They had nothing.
I also thought of replacing the radio box with an add-on fuel cell that I could discuses as a fuel cell.
Something like that would be an option. Right now, I'll focus on get the bike in tip top shape and ready to ride.
