I've found myself looking for a sixth gear for years. Would be nice. I don't think there's enough room.

I'm running a KZ1000P-9 on stock rims. I changed my rear sprocket from 41t to 38t to reduce my revs at 70mph & improve my fuel economy (I now get 15-20 extra miles from a full tank). Front sprocket is standard 15t.
At 70mph I am at 4000 rpm. Before I changed the rear sprocket, it was 4300rpm at 70mph.
You can play around with your gear ratio's and rpm at: www.gearingcommander.com/

I know what you mean. There's nothing better than opening up the throttle in 3rd gear to get past anything fast!

I've rode my 80 mph speedo beside my buddy's ZRX at
over 130 mph and it didn't get mad.
The needle will keep going around and if you
get it all the way back to zero your F'in flyin.
