Parts for front brake system cleaning

So I'm going to clean out my front brake system. Would you recommend any other parts to have on hand except these:


43049-002 RING,PISTON SEAL
49016-1041 COVER-SEAL,BRK PISTON
43022-1009 STOPPER-BRAKE,PISTON
92001-1055 SCREW,COUNTERSUNK HED
14008-1035 LINER,PISTON
46092-1026 LEVER-GRIP,MASTER CYL
92015-1191 NUT,LOCK,6MM,BLACK
92001-1512 BOLT,6X37.3,BLACK

Iso alcohol for cleaning rubber parts :)

Thanks. I'll wait and see how the piston part looks. It's a tad expensive here. The dust seal is a good idea. I'm good to go then!

braided stainless brake lines are worth considering as well

Well the shops payment system was broken so the order never went through :pinch: I'm ordering it again now but I'm used to always put in a new bolt when changing oil and was going to add one to my list. it isn't on the parts diagram from Kawasaki so I'm a bit confused. Is it par of the bypass valve?

Yes, that's the oil pressure relief valve. Ed

Is this a daily driver or a project? If the later I'd tear down the calipers before ordering parts. The pistons may be pitted and they are expensive. Also, I'd consider new brake lines mandatory. The old lines are almost surely full of crud and scale which will contaminate the system as soon as you fill it with fresh fluid.

The oil drain plug is in the Breather-cover/Oil-pan diagram.
I can see replacing the gasket each time but not the plug. :)
