www.speedymetals.com/s-201-steel.aspx
is a good supplier.

so is
www.shapirosupply.com/index.php?main_pag...260&products_id=4411

the 1 inch o.d. with at least an .065 wall thickness in d.o.m.(drawn over mandrel, which means it is seamless) would be suitable for your project.

for ease of welding i would use the .083 wall stuff i linked to.

do you have a seat or tailpiece, cafe seat etc.that you plan to use?

A sub-frame like you have pictured should be easy to duplicate, provided you have the seat pan/base to use as a pattern for the metal work.
Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

Am pretty sure about a frame and a swing-arm, but what's a "subframe?"

Good Fortune! :)

Good Fortune! :)

the sub-frame is the part on the rear that bolts to the main frame.

that the seat and tailpiece attaches to.

kz's don't typically have a sub-frame.
you have to remove the rear portion of a kz frame and fabricate a sub-frame in order to have a sub-frame on a kz.
