Run the fender without the arms on it. There are two bolts on each side attaching the fender to the forks, so it can't pivot. I removed the arms from the front fender on the bike in my avatar a long time ago, and that's not the first one I have done it on.
There are several others here that run without the arms as well.
Just make sure the mounting bolts are tight and the fender is not cracked in the area near the bolts.
But you have bigger problems than that![:( :(](/media/kunena/emoticons/5.png)
Looking at the last pic you posted the bearing looks to be fubar'd, and if that is the axle nut sitting inside the hub, where did the internal spacer go?

For this picture, could you use that JB Weld stuff for metal? It may be worth a try. You might not be able to get the bolt out if you just attach it as is. If you use the JB Weld with the screw removed, you may need to retap, but it is probably a faster solution if you want to keep the arm on the fender.

Thanks guys.
If I was to replace the fender for a smaller one, can I use one off any z (on the off chance it will fit). Are there any similar bikes that I can use a fender off?
Then I can just tidy up the broken bolthole.
I'll take the wheel off and check behind the hub, repair if I cant replace.
Thanks again

I think most of the z1 and kz fenders swap right?...I was told an LTD fender would be a good choice for my bike. i think gpz fenders fit too., do a search in the archives to verify

the cover should be on its way around 9am when the post office opens today. you know you can replace just the fender stays if your fender isnt mangled right?? you might want to try a wrecker over there for that. i do see them on e bay from time to time. i got more stuff from e bay as spares then ill ever use but you never know and this stuff isnt getting any easier to find. let me know when you get the cover just so i know it got there...steve
