An old friend showed up today, this tank was on my Z1R back in 83.
But what type is this because i want to try to find the rest of the kit,

That is one odlly shaped tank. Maybe an old BMW tank??? The graphics is something out of a Harry Potter novel :huh:

I think that tube sticking up on the left side of the tank is for in-flight refueling. :laugh: Ed

The art work is from the cover of Meat Loafs "Bat out of hell" album, a real nice job actually.
Don't know what tank it is though :blush:

There was, at one time, an aftermarket fuel tank supplied by Kawasaki, made specifically for the Z1R. It was considerably larger than the standard Z1R fuel tank. The logic behind the larger fuel tank was that it was designed for European riding (e.g. Autobahn). Perhaps this is one of those fuel tanks?

Nice to read all replays and comments, so i am out on
Job next couple of weeks but when i am back home
I will post more pictures. But when i was the owner back in 80
There was also a strange fairing and a Nice Seat .

The bottom looks like its made of fiberglass. Is that tank metal or fiberglass?
