Landfair check out this website ( www.allballsracing.com/index.php/forkconversion ). You type in your bike (model and year)and it gives a list of conversion bearings for different forks then just find the forks you want to use (stem length might still be off). I've been involved with 5 stem swaps and what been done is to press out the existing stem and replace it with a custom stem that uses stock bearings (or in your case the tapered conversion bearings). Some will make a adapter ring to fit your stem into the newer trees. I personally don't like this approach not thats there is anything wrong with it, I just prefer to be able to put everything back to stock if I choose. The picture is a tree from a 2000ZX7 with a stem for a 1982-85 GPZ750 (and others)

I hope this helps. Pictures please

Any idea what year ZX11 the front end is from? I just slotted in a '89-90 Zx7R front end in my 1000 with just a bearing swap. The front end I used seems to be quite similar to the Zx11C front end as far as fork legs, brakes, wheel, etc. The stem was sufficient in length and the steering stop were perfect.

Alright it looks like I will try to swap stems because I don't know the year of the frontend. Also I won't be home til thanksgiving to work on it :( my plan was to order bearings an put them in when I got home but looks like I'll have to wait..... My plan is to put on the front end fabricate brackets for a mono shock put wiring and motor in then completely tear down and powder coat. Am I going in the right direction? Thanks for everyone's help!

If you can throw up a pic or two of the Zx11 front end, I may be able to identify it.

everyone take a different direction (got mine running rode it, did a swap rosd it some more.)
with most of the bugs worked out now I can take the aproach to do the front end get it lined out and then do a complete tear down.

Im painting my frame instaed of powdersoat its a matter of money I have access to painting and have pay to have powdercoated

In a perfect world doing all the mods getting it lined out the disassebling and having
the cosmetics done would be the right direction

In the real world I've nearly ruined a 200.00 tire and would've ruined my powdercoating had
I went that route. after this season of riding I think most of my mistakes have been found and corrected

looking forward to seeing your build

Just measure the front axle diameter. 90-93 ZX11C has 20mm front axle, 93-2001 ZX11D has 25mm front axle. If you have the front brake rotors, 90-93 C has 310mm, 93-2001 D has 320mm.
