i love them incidentally even though they will eat the top of your shoe eventually. running them with drag bars puts you in a little more aggressive position also. i'm not sure if an a model brake spring would work but I bent the ltd one to do the job.

yep, looks like i'll be fabing something up in place of the stock brake pedal mount. oh well, shouldn't be to hard.
Thanks for the help gents. I've attached some pics of the project so far. I'm done with the easy part, tearing it apart and cutting it up.
I'm shooting for a high compression 1075cc fire-breathing cafe racer by the time i'm done.

i did

and those ones in the link look softer on the shoes with the rubber tips and pegs than the all metal knurled ones....i had to grind on the under frame weld in a spot to get one side to go on right,,,by one of the triangles not too critical in that spot really ,if i remember right...not too much but enough to piss me off...that was on a MKII frame though...diff a tiny bit i think here and there.....they are really cool...make sure to push thick grease in all the fittings and in the holes where the taroz actual pegs run through the foot linkage and bolt to the black hangers ...it tightens the peg bolt there and will start shifting hard ...even new...i snapped the linkage couplers after a few weeks, brand new, once greased super good it shifted better than new and no more snapped parts to replace....they are really good ,but the all metal ones mark up your toes and eat the sole right off of footwear...imo

also that site in the link sells all the replacement do hickies and ships em fast.....

Anyone know if something can be changed in the setup to run race pattern shift? ie. 1 up & the rest down?

In this photo I totally lifted from the Fast From the Past site, you can see that you can flip the linkage over at the transmission. The little lever that connects to the linkage on the gear shift lever can be removed and then flipped as well. Your choice. It is aligned to the gear shift by a locator pin. Both the gear shift and the little lever (there are actually two of the little lever pieces that sandwich the gimbal on the linkage to make everything nice and solid) have a flower pattern of holes and a pin goes through one of those holes on each of the little levers and the gearshift lever to align them. This arrangement allows you to be able to set the angle of the gearshift to many different positions. All in all, the rearsets are pretty cool.
I just realized they sell linkage rods with an offset in them to accommodate this.
Link to funky, curved linkage rods for Tarozzi rearsets

Thats exactly what i do with my race bikes but it wont seem to work with my 750 Twin as the sidestand mount is directly below the gear selector. There's just no room to turn the fitting upside down

I think that's the beauty of the curved linkage rod. You can flip the lever on the gear shift so it points down and keep the transmission lever upright.
