14/41 yea! 1/8 mile gears!
Bet you think that bike is real fast! white knuckle rider, front wheel up in 1st 3 gears!
Came stock with 15/33, so 14/33 is still a managlable highway gear.
If thats a J motor, the output shaft spline is bigger, so your countershaft sprocket needs to be accordingly.
I have a stock KZ 1000 33th to sell if interested?

Marty I haven't rode it as is. It would probably have been scary! :woohoo: Bought it for $250 about 2 years ago and just now getting around to build it since I sold my TL.

630 setup
96 link chain - 15/41 = 2.73:1
changing to 530
112 link chain - 16/45 = 2.81:1 - about a 3% difference in gearing - noticeably more acceleration without being silly. 16/44 = 2.75:1 - very close to stock gearing for that engine (less than 1% difference).
45 tooth is the largest rear you can typically get for that rear wheel.
Remember if you plan on swapping out swing arms, you'll need a different length chain - 2" over stock and you will need a 4 link longer 530 chain...
