Maybe so but are the parts really in stock?
Some I have checked are NLA from Kawasaki.

The tubes in the first link are new. If those aren't correct for your bike, maybe contact them...

Ron Ayers is cheaper than that. There's no microfiche that will be 100% correct about having the part available or in-stock. The Kawasaki site isn't even correct all the time. Trust me, I'm on there at least 7 times a day.

Hi, I have the same bike that I will be restoring. I did a lot of web surfing as I need to rebiuld my forks as well due to the upper parts being pitted. The place that I am going to get my upper parts from cost $31.00 a piece which is very reasonable and are actually stronger than OEM parts so there is less chance of them worping.I dont have the exact web right now but if you google The APE Store you will find it. Just out of curiosity does your bike have a center kickstand? as the one I have does not. Am wondering if they came with one or not. I posted this question on this site and did not get an answer, thanks Mopguy.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Per kawasaki.com diagrams, 1980 KZ750 LTD 4 cylinder has both side and center stands, and twin has only side stand.

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc.

Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

By any chance ave you contacted them? I didn't see a phone number, address, or email address. That's one of those sites where I'd be real nervous about submitting credit car info... Or is that place affiliated with ApeRaceParts.com ?

Mr.Patton thanks for the site, however I was inquiring if the 1978 KZ1000 LTD came with a center kickstand not the 1980 KZ750 LTD.

Was going by the "1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd." shown in signature.

Diagrams at kawasaki.com also include 1978 KZ1000 LTD.

I would assume it did as mine has the mounts for it on the frame, but you know what they say, "Assumption is the mother of all f!@# ups."

Hi Patton
Have a '75 Z1-B 900.
Sorry to bother ya, but this thread has my interest, I am a short kinda "Fire-Plug" guy, already have a thin seat and would like to lower my bike more if I can do so reasonably cheap and if it would not effect handling too adversely, I am a cruiser, don't try and ride too fast and or crazy .I am over 60 Y.O. so wanna be carefull.
Maybe I could get a complete set of front forks that would lower mine? Thoughts on lowering the rear? Goal would be 2" +or- overall. Even thought about putting a Harley 16" rear wheel on it but would still leave the rear shocks needing to be shorter I think.
Thanks!!
ED

Mr. Patton thanks for the link. However the site does not help me very much as it wont even recognise my vin #509166 and everything I clicked onto does not work.

As noted from instructions in the link, the vin is unnecessary.

Would carefully review the instructions shown in the link,
and just use this clicking order:
>Motorcycle >year >model >Parts Diagram

All years of the KZ large four LTD models are there.

Keep plugging! :cheer:
