the tires have a back and front arrow for direction...are you sure the arrow you read is for the front mounted direction...the treads will mirror image of the rear treads..direction wise...how are basing the wrong direction....but if you are sure that the direction is backwards then you will have to remount the tire.....

if you have a dual disc front you should be able to flip the wheel around. as far as the tire having an arrow designating rotation for use on the front to be one way and the rear to be the opposite I have never heard of seeing as directional tires are just that.....directional. they do not perform the same when rotated the wrong direction.

If it is a "rear" designated tire with only one arrow, it should be reversed if it is mounted on the front. If it has both arrows, go by the one for front fitment.

Thanks for the replys. My front tire has an arrow and the word rotation next to it. It appears pointing in the wrong direction. It does look like I can just flip the wheel because of the dual disc brakes.thanks other feedback is welcome.

Do the hubs have the slots that drive the speedo gear on both sides? If not then you will have to reverse the tire on the wheel. Otherwise it should work to flip the whole wheel around.

those are pretty concerning statements that you should just reverse the direction of rotation on a tire because you moved the end of the bike that its on. let's say for instance that it is a v-shaped tread like this, <<<<<<<, when on the rear of the bike those vee's channel water away from the center of the tire. but when you turn it around as you guys are saying to do it looks like this, >>>>>>>>, which means it's pushing water into the center of the tire meaning if you ever get stuck in the rain you had better be wearing your skid proof ass for when you hit the pavement. tires rotate the same direction whether on the front or back of a motorcycle so if you could elaborate on why he should switch the rotation I would love to hear it

Excerpt below is found in this link:
www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/2009/08/23/tires-d...ained-by-avon-tyres/
If you are using a tire that has a directional arrow for rear rotation only and for some reason you want to put it on the front, make sure it is rotating in the opposite direction so you don’t aggravate the tread splice. Avon Tyres.

Interesting conversation, and I have to tell you, the idea of a "skid proof ass" really cracked me up!

because that is how some tires are...is that enough of an answer for you ..
many tires have an arrow for front mounting and an arrow for rear mounting...go look........
oh and i highly doubt you could just flip the rim in the forks... but that is just my guess..
...most kz hub have an axle driven speedo and that would put the drive out front and on the wrong side...50% sure on that one......

Well, since you said to do it I might as well take it as gospel. Patton is the only one that offered up the reason for it on some tires. Which is what I asked you to do bright eyes, not just give me the old "'cuz I said so."
