Side Car

I might be barking up a tree here.

However,

Does anyone know where I can find, or if Kawasaki ever made or makes a side car for the KZ550?

I need to find one if possible.

I've never seen or heard of a sidecar built by Mother Kaw. That doesn't mean they never built one however. I have seen used Vetter sidecars show up on ebay quite frequently. Like the fairings they made, these are pretty much universal mount. I'm sure some of the "Old Timers" :laugh: will chip in with better information soon.

Whatever you find, make double darn sure the connecting brackets & whatnot are up to the job. A few years back a KZR member relayed to us here that theirs broke while stopped at a gas station. Thank goodness it didn't happen on the freeway. I shudder to think what the carnage could've been.

vetter made a few for the bigger kaws in 70s-early 80s that could probably be adapted if you can find one.
