uhm, why would you lower the tree's for that would be the opposite of what he requires... He needs to go up for his bars to clear the tank....

You need sleep big man....

raise the trees so that only the lower tree holds the forks and you should have enough room for drag bars...ok

I think the risers are an elegant solution to the problem, as long as they are not goofy long. If a 1" riser will do it then that's what I will do, but I am not going to have a 3 inch on there...that would kind of defeat the purpose of the drag bars.

I have no idea about motorcycle handling there pops...I just got my first bike 2 years ago. I could assume and just do things without asking, but I figure asking will keep me from being a surprised hamburger smear on the highway. I have enough slack in the brake lines to add about an inch or 2 to the handlebars, so we'll see.

And regarding the wake and bake, it's been many years... what are we talking about? I want some of that chilli! :woohoo:

p.s. I guess I wasn't clear in my question tri...I thought that the handlebar was atached to the forks, and I wanted to raise the forks to raise the handlebar...

the risers are gonna work for your needs..depending on the price..i bet a machine shop that is slow could mill you a riser extender blocks and yokes, and you could use the right length sweet looking allen bolts to finish the look..bet they'd jump at it and maybe cheap...probably take em 15 minutes with some scraps of billit laying around imo....

So instead of raising the bars an inch you'll decrease your turn radius "turn radius shim"... I got this right

The Old Man's got a point.

I already had issues with the clubman bars and the fairing restricting my turning radious that adding a shim to the stop was not going to reduce it anymore.
My hands hit the fairing at the moment when they are fully forward.
You get use to it.

Likely tomorrow I will see how much I need to raise the bar by and get or have made a riser. I will also have to move my little fairing up as well...YAY!

I have seen those risers on Ebay several times. Haven't hit the bong in a long time, but I sure would like too.

if you need risers to clear your tank why not just use superbike bars? B)

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

i could...but I would need to get new brake lines since the superbike bars stick out to the side more too...

nah..they would be lower than your bikes stock bars would ,which will mean you had plenty of extra lines cables ect...the silver 20 dollar jobbers off e-bay are decent...
