Just want to share some info I found. Apologize if its old news. UK based AP Racing sells new Lockheed calipers. I was surfing a Japanese dude's KZ1000MKII website and he mentioned/photographed them, so I did some research.

Here's the pic that got me going:

Closeup of caliper on the AP Racing website:

That old school look is definitely nice, but given I need two calipers, if I can get the newer version shipped from the UK for less, that'll be the way to go.

If I end up having to get a friend in the UK buy and ship for me, lets see...

170+15%VAT=196 each. Say even with another $30 total for shipping, that'll be $422. Opposed to 500+10% tax = 550 plus shipping with the USPS flat rate for $8 = $558.

558-422=$136 savings. That'll pay for the s/s brake lines!

AP Racing does have a US based motorcycle parts distributor. GP Tech out of MI. I just sent them an email requesting price (to include shipping to Seattle) for two of the Lockheed calipers. Once I get an answer I'll post here.

In the meantime, GP Tech's website is:

CP-2696 are $235 + $10 for shipping each.

So, all of a sudden the older style ones from Big D are a lot more appealing. Must think...

Harris will ship to the states with no VAT for none ECC countries.

Go to poducts then terms and conditions for more details.

The older style calipers are handed but the new ones can be mounted left or right side, just thought i would mention this as Big D cycles being a Triumph shop may only have l/hand caliper for single disc set-up.

Hope this is of some help
